Most critics and distractors didn’t spare the Christian movie, the Passion of the Christ as they criticized it with a lot of words, terming it pornographic and full of arduous torture. This is not the case with the Christian community and other right-minded people.
The filming of the movie was done in Aramaic, though with English subtitles. With this language, it enhances how one enjoys this movie, since that creates emotional auras of mystery and sacredness to the subject. Since most people have an idea of what the movie is about, they will not get distracted reading the subtitles. On the contrary, you will keep paying more attention and the more you will do, the more you get to realize important unfolding turns on the movie.
This film combine the four accounts of the New Testament Gospels to develop the most vivid and powerful show of all the events that took place before and after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is important to note that children should not watch the movie at all even if most evangelical Christians advice everybody to. Often in the film, passion is decorated with more violence, making the passion violent. It is crucial that children who are 16 and 17 years should get to know what the film entails before they can watch it.
The film begins in the Garden of Gethsemane, where we meet Jesus of Nazareth, praying to his Father to deliver him through the events that awaits him. One can see a satanic figure in the shadows casting a lot of doubts and temptations. The satanic figure gives out a message that the thing about one man bearing the sin of the world is too much and impossible. All these temptations didn’t make Jesus give in, and the disciple Judas arrives to betray him to the many guards.
After he is capture, he is taken to face the high priest while in chains. There are several people we meet, the Pharisees and leading priests who question him if he is the Son of God and he did tell them that he is. When they heard this, they mock him in contempt, hit him and spit on him. They lead him to the King, Pilate, to be killed.
Pilate find Jesus innocent but still ordered him to be whipped. This was an opening of a lack of empathy page, where Jesus is brutally beaten. This will continue and if you can make it through these scenes, crucifixion will not be much.
Flashback used in the movie is amazing, how Jesus was a toddler and all the happenings then. In general, the movies has been ranked one of the best films ever. It is not a must that you become a Christian to believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah sent to the world, you may do, and the movie will make sense to you about the Passion of God.
